Coolest vacation ever

In the holidays, my brother and I were invited by a friend named Samuel on  a trip to Tirau.  We were so excited to spend three nights with him and his mum at a cool hotel.

Penny (Sam's Mum) called to check if we had suitable clothes and mum replied “yep, we have lots of warm clothes”.
“Okay, see you tomorrow”. Penny said.

The next day my brother and  I got all our stuff together.  Not long after that we heard that they’d arrived.   Inside we said our greetings politely and had morning tea . After the morning tea we said our goodbye’s to mum and dad and stormed to their car because theirs is a flash car just like ours.  After we hopped in we were ready for an adventure but mum came and gave us $ 50 each to spend on the trip.

When we were on the road my friend, my brother and I had so much fun because we were watching some funny videos on my psp. When we arrived at Tirau, Penny booked us into a room in a cool hotel to spend two nights.  We didn’t have any food, so we had to eat breakfast at this cafe then we had lunch at the same place because it was pretty good and for dinner we had a big fat meal at the best restaurant in town.

The next day we went to a cool shop, so I really had to bring my 50 dollars this time, the moment I first stepped inside I spotted a pair of ‘Skullcandy beats’ (headphones) to go with my psp.  Unfortunately the cool pair of skullcandy headphones were actually 70 dollars fortunately, Penny was nice enough to give me a another 20 dollars and I now own a pair of the coolest headphones.   But wait there’s more...unfortunately I actually broke my psp the following week but that’s a whole new story.
My trip and stay in Tirau was the best vacation ever with my friends.

Last day of Sewing

I found walking through all the Edgewater students nerve - racking when we arrived at the sewing class.

When we arrived at our sewing stations I gave Bernina (my sewing machine) a good morning and threaded her before making my finishing touches on the coin purse I’d been planning and making from the past five weeks. My coin purse included 4 types of decorative stitchings. The beginning and end of of the stitching was secured with functional stitching . When the sewing session ended, we all headed to the kitchen (where we go after our practical sewing tasks to do theory lessons) to get these little studs to close up the wallet.  We handed our precious purses to Mrs Scott and she pounded the top and bottom dome fasteners to our purses.
When the lessons started I was excited and I have to admit I was a little sad when we finished, I wish there were just two more weeks of cool sewing lessons.
